NOCO Genius G750UK Battery Charger Review – 100%

We liked the versatility that comes with the NOCO genius. Not only were we able to charge the car battery, we could also charge the motorcycle and lawn mower batteries as well. The amperage was good and was able to charge quickly and efficiently even faster than the ARTECK Auto Battery Charger

NOCO Genius G750UK Battery Charger
Charges 12V & 24V lead-acid batteries (including AGM and more) and 12V lithium. Repairs desulfated batteries, charges in cold conditions, and has a 13.6V Supply mode. Also includes JumpCharge (see below) for starting flat batteries.

The main drawback that we noticed is when charging a completely flat battery, this charger tends to struggle adding the initial amount of charge. However as soon as the fist small charge gets in then it works well. We found this inconvenient.

Pros
  • Robust design.
  • Charges quite quickly.
Cons
  • Struggles with a completely flat battery.

The downside is that it seemed to take quite a long time to charge the car battery which may not be ideal especially when stranded out in bad weather.

Auto Accessories 6 AMP Heavy Duty Battery Charger – 91%

The first thing that we noticed with this battery charger is the strong and sturdy build. This means it is durable and can last a long time. We also liked the easy to carry handle. The 6 Amps allows it to charge a car battery quite quickly.

Auto Accessories 6 AMP Heavy Duty Battery Charger
  • Input Voltage: AC 220-240V/50Hz
  • Output Voltage: DC 12V
  • Charging Current: 4.2 Adc equal to 6 Amps RMS

However, while charging one of our car batteries we noticed that the charger got quite warm which is not something that we liked as it is indicative of its inability to sustain long periods of charging.

Another thing is that the meter shows voltage and not amps. We thought that it could have been easier if it read amps.

Pros
  • Strong build.
  • Easy to carry design.
  • Charges fast.
Cons
  • Meter reads volts.
  • Gets warm after a few hours of charging.

The Ring RCB208 was a fast charging car battery. It was able to charge a fully flat car battery within a few hours. This is mainly due to the 8 Amps capacity. We liked that it operated silently and unlike the Streetwize SWCBC6 Compact Battery Charger, it doesn’t heat up quickly.

Features LED indicators that show when the unit is on, whether the battery is fully charged or still charging, and shows when the battery clamps have been attached to the wrong poles. Polarity protection prevents damage to the battery or charger when this happens.

However, we didn’t like how long it took us to get the charger working. It is certainly not the easiest to use and does take a bit of fiddling with. Connecting the earth took a bit of time. We also found that the rapid mode cut off quite quickly.

By providing your battery with a full charge, you also save on the money you would have otherwise spent getting the car towed.

Car battery chargers however also come with their fair share of disadvantages. One you have to keep the car battery charger itself fully charged to be able to make use of it. If you forgot to recharge it after the last time you used it, then it won’t be of much help.
